Practice Makes Perfect…Is it ever perfect?

What I am learning is that every single piece that I complete, I feel is better than the last. This leaves me in a weird state of constantly reviewing finished work and wanting to tweak it.  I have learned so much since I started and I am starting to get scared that I will never think anything that I make is good enough.  I love this Chow Chow piece, and I enjoyed every second of the process, but I felt that way about my last piece too…and now I am looking at that last piece, which was my favorite a week ago, kinda thinking it could be better.  I guess I will be happy that I am improving and hope I don’t hate this next week!

Hi there!! Allow me to introduce myself, if you had not figured it out my name is Kimberly (Kim for short). I am a mixed media artist, although sometimes my media isn't mixed at all...hmm. I live to create art, I don't discriminate!! It is my dream to be able to sustain myself as a working artist, in the meantime I am happy to continue my day job as an RN. Thank You for checking out my artwork, it is my hope that you found something that made you smile :)
